My friends and I are the kind of people that get really bored doing the same thing when we all hangout. It is the usual going out to eat and seeing a movie sort of routine we have here in the suburbs. So yesterday we decided to change things up and take the train and go downtown.
Chicago has so much history and sites like museums, activities, building, and art. That we decided to spend the whole day taking in and looking what the windy city has to offer. That is how we came up with the idea to be tourists for a day! As in taking a bunch of pictures everywhere we go and exploring new things.
The weather was in our favor to say the least by not having a cloud in the sky. Not to mention, the temperature was perfect by being in the mid 70’s ( so not too hot or too cold). That gave us the ability to literally walk everywhere in Chicago and have no rain to ruin our day.
Some of the places we went to see is the “Cloud Gate” and walk around looking at the art in the Magnificent Mile. Also, we went to the Chicago Skydeck at the Willis Tower and view from the top. Then we visited different fountains in Millennium Park and made wishes by throwing pennies. Of course we bought souvenirs that say “Chicago” on them from different shops. In addition, we walked along Michigan Ave and watched street performances. Finally we had lunch outside under the Michigan Ave. Bridge with the view of the lake.
We created so many memories and saw amazing things that we normally did not pay attention too.
